Fighting Video Game Porn: A Political Win for Dems and Hillary

One of my key values is Healthy Families, and Hillary does a great job on this one.

It turns out that there was a bunch of porn hidden in the latest smash video game release of "Grand Theft Auto" from Rockstar.

Rockstar spokesman Rodney Walker said the company was confident that it had done nothing wrong and would be exonerated by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board, which is investigating the incident.

Clinton (D-N.Y.), meanwhile, said she will introduce legislation to help keep inappropriate video games out of the hands of children, and has asked the Federal Trade Commission to investigate the "Grand Theft Auto" game.

Her legislative proposal would institute a financial penalty for retailers who fail to enforce the video manufacturers voluntary ratings system rules. It would prohibit the sale of violent and sexually explicit video games to minors and put in place a $5,000 penalty for those who violate the law.

"The disturbing material in 'Grand Theft Auto' and other games like it is stealing the innocence of our children, and it's making the difficult job of being a parent even harder," Clinton said.

There are two central themes that play out in this and by Hillary taking the stand, she makes big points for all Democrats:
1. Democrats protect and support parents.
2. Democrats protect the people against Big Sleazy Business.

These are two of the core values of Democrats.

We must help parents protect kids. This is critical to build healthy families and strong communities.

Parents are overworked and underpayed. Parents see themselves as having two major roles in their children's lives: breadwinning and value leadership. The radical, right-wing, business-always-comes-first rhetoric and policies of the GOP leadership are tearing families apart. Two income families spend so much time just breadwinning that they feel they cannot adequately fulfill their lifetime mission of guiding their children towards virtue.

Make no mistake, this is Hillary's "Sister Solja" moment. She is building her quals as a defender of parents interests against Big Sleeze.

This is not an issue of free speech, Snoop Dog and his like do more damage to the Black community than to the nation as a whole. When making dollars means everything children pay the price and parents feel it.
